The edging of Utsalady Point (pronounced its-a-ladee) reminds us of ships' masts, and tall ships that used to moor just off of Utsalady Bay in the 19th century. The point is now a beautiful community of beach houses off of Camano Island overlooking the bay.

Utsalady Point is worked side to side, both main field and edging all in one piece, including color changes. At the end of the shawl, you only have 4 ends to weave in. Primarily made with double crochet, the edge includes the taller triple crochet with a few singles and chain spaces to boot. Make sure to watch the Bonus video included below to learn how to change the colors in a way that the yarn being carried up is hidden in the work!
