Eastwick starts with a half-circle and grows outward in a chevron pattern, with increases set at markers that push the peaks and valleys wider with every row. After a handful of setup rows, the whole shawl settles into a two-row repeat that you keep working until it is the size you want. That is the joy of this one. You get the satisfying shape of a chevron without having to track anything complicated once you are going.

This shawl is made for any advent set of mini skeins. It moves through one mini skein after another, so it is built for the odds and ends you have been saving and the leftovers from other projects that never had a home. You change to the next ball whenever you like, and the chevron carries it into one piece that looks planned rather than pieced together.

Blocked, it runs 56 inches across the top edge and drops 33 inches at the longest point, deep enough to wrap and wear like a proper shawl rather than a scarf. The chevron gives it movement, and the simple repeat means you can keep going until you have used up what you set out to use.
